Lincoln/Dayton/Beech Improvements

Widen and construct 4,450 LF of new roadway section, new curb and gutter, sidewalk, storm drainage and illumination.

The proposed project will reconstruct approximately 1,800 feet of Dayton Avenue and Beech Street to 40-foot wide, two-lane roadways with parallel parking, including new curb and gutter, sidewalks on both sides, storm drainage facilities, and streetlights.  Lincoln Avenue improvements will complete sidewalk gaps and install new streetlights between F Street and L Street.

This route is heavily traveled as it provides a continuous link between the eastern half of the City and State Route 22 and provides direct access to three schools.  The City has secured federal Surface Transportation Program (STP) and Transportation Improvement Board (TIB) funding for the widening and reconstruction of these roads. The City has received $1,883,850 of STP, $32,615 of Local, and $261,396 of TIB funds ($2,177,861 Total) to complete the proposed improvements, including street reconstruction and sidewalk improvements.  This project is scheduled to be constructed in 2020.
